About
While ASEAN serves as the world's growth center, it faces diverse social challenges including inequality. Japan, on the other hand, possesses valuable experience and assets cultivated through its growth process, even as it confronts the challenge of an aging population.
Building on this context, our community creates a space where young Leaders’ from ASEAN and Japan can learn from each other and tackle social challenges in areas such as environment, education, and startups.
Through regular exchanges and collaborative projects, we nurture talent to lead next-generation transformation and strengthen the new partnership between ASEAN and Japan by generating innovative ideas and businesses.
Community Background
日ASEAN Business Leaders’ Summitは、日本とASEAN諸国の友好50周年を記念して、2023年に初めて開催されました。その際、日ASEAN記念サミットの共同議長を務めた岸田前首相とインドネシアのジョコ・ウィドド大統領に向けて、政策提言書を提出しました。
続く、2024年にも同サミットを開催し、政策提言を策定。そこで、ASEANと日本の若手リーダーが共に未来を創る基盤として 「ASEAN Japan Young Business Leaders' Community」 を立ち上げ、両地域の関係強化を宣言しました。
